The Vacuum Tube

 It is a glass tube surrounding a vacuum. It is interesting because when electrical contacts are put on the ends, you can get a current to flow through that vacuum. Thomas Edison first saw this in 1883 and he discovered that electrical current doesn't need a wire to function.

Lee De Forest then created the "audio" which made it so the currents would move in a single direction and this would cause currents to be much stronger and they would come out the main electrodes of the tube.

Video Tape

The first videotape recorder in 1951 captured live images from television cameras by converting the information into electrical impulses and saving that information onto a magnetic tape.
It was developed by Charles Ginsbug at Ampex Corporation and then he decided to sell it for $50,000 in 1956.

History of Photography

The first photograph was taken in 1826 of a view of nature by Frenchman Nicephore Niepce.
Then three years later Niepce and Daguerre signed a partnership to work on perfecting photography.
Later the introduction of computer based electronic digital cameras in the 1990's soon revolutionized photography and now you can take a picture from anywhere in the world with a phone or digital camera. Pictures can be edited and transformed an infinite amount of times. I think it is amazing what some programs can do with images and honestly i don't know what else could be possible in the future. Maybe images being shown in 3D?

This are some of the first photos ever taken in the 1800's when Kodak released its first commercial camera and gave the ability for people to take every day pictures.

Film evolution

Technology has definitely been an improvement in making films today. Movies today have more vivid colors than they did 30+ years ago. One of the differences in film evolution is that in today's era shot lengths are significantly shorter to keep out attention span focused on the film,
There are also different patterns of shots and that is so our minds do not fluctuate in and out of places.
More motion in today's films compared to older movies has also changed and movies today have more lighting than they did back then.

I think this was a very good imitation  of the song Paradise by Coldplay, and I definitely was not expecting it to be this good.

Colosseum

Located east of the Roman Forum, the Colosseum was comissioned around A.D. 70-72 by Emperor Vespasin. It was the largest amphitheater in the Roman world made of stone and concrete. There were more than 50,000 seats to watch events that happened in Rome. There were a lot of gladiators who fought here, generally slaves, criminals or prisoners of war. I think this monument is really fascinating and I wish one day I could go see it.
